DR Marie Raj was appointed as Principal of the GSS’s Don Bosco College, Panaji, Goa, from 2005-2014. During her tenure she was nominated as Chairman Board of Studies for Mass Communication, Journalism and Media Studies; Member, BOS in BSW, Goa University. She was also appointed as Ad- hoc member of the Goa Arch-Diocesan Board of Education, Goa

She completed her tertiary, Post Grad, MPhil and Doctoral studies from Karnatak University, Dharwad. Her area of interest is Indian Writing in English with focus on Feminism and Indian Christian Poetry. She has guided4 MPhil candidates. She also has a PG Diploma in Teaching of English from CIEFL, Hyderabad. Her rich teaching experience spanning more than 3 decades has aided her research and is reflected in her publications in academic journals. She has also written articles for magazines and newspapers.

In addition to her administrative duties she has been entrusted to undertake NAAC preparations. Under her tutelage the green initiatives of the Institute has received impetus. A Green Audit carried out enabled the Institute to receive a Special Citation from Envirocare Green Award- 2022.
